mySmilist aligners work brilliantly to help shift your teeth to a new position. Since the aligners are basically uniquely designed 3D printed models of your teeth, they do a brilliant job of moving the teeth to the desired position in order to get the final result. Aligners follow a sequence whereby each set makes a small desired move over a fixed period of 14-18 days and after that we replace it with the next set. And depending on the complexity, this sequence can go up to 12-20 sets (or a bit more depending on the complexity of the case).

Aligners for both upper and lower teeth are usually recommended together. However, aligners for single arches i.e., either the upper teeth or the lower teeth can also be opted for. Single arch aligners are sought when one wants to get only a partial treatment for their teeth alignment.

We treat children as long as their teeth development has reached an appropriate stage, which mostly happens by the age of 14 or above. Also any such case has to be approved by one of our mySmilist Experts. In addition, if you are under 18 years old, we will need your parent’s consent.

An intra-oral scan is essentially based on a 3D capture technology. This technology helps convert any kind of 2D image into 3D images. These scans are basically taken by clinicians so that impressions can be taken to prepare aligners.
